Hello everyone,

My name is Smitirani Haripal and I am a student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and I am interested in participating in Google Summer of Code 2026 with the Eclipse Foundation.

I have experience with Java, backend development, and open source contributions. Recently I have been contributing to open source projects and exploring distributed systems and developer tools.

I would love to start contributing to Eclipse projects and would appreciate guidance on beginner-friendly issues or projects that are good starting points for new contributors.
