[sdv-wg] VDA MoU Announcement around Eclipse S-CORE

Dear SDV Community,

We're excited to share an important announcement from today's Automobil Elektronik Kongress!

VDA has announced (German, English) a Memorandum of Understanding to enable cooperation in open-source software development within the framework of the Eclipse SDV working group. The Eclipse S-CORE project will serve as the foundation for collaboratively developing an open-source core stack for safety-relevant applications.

The MoU was signed by 11 major automotive companies: BMW Group, Continental, ETAS, HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA, Mercedes-Benz AG, Qorix, Bosch, Valeo Brain Division, VECTOR Informatik, Porsche AG, and ZF Group. @Michael Plagge  was on stage at the AEK as part of the formal announcement.

We want to take a moment to acknowledge the achievements of this community in the three years since the Eclipse SDV WG was founded. We are looking forward to finding out what we can achieve next!
