[rdf4j-dev] RDF4J issue and PR cleanup
|
Hi everyone,
We’re going to start doing a bit of cleanup of older issues and pull requests in the RDF4J repository, particularly things that have been open for more than about three months.
If you have any open issues or PRs, we’d really appreciate it if you could take a quick look through them and let us know their current status. For example:
- For issues: does the problem still occur on a recent RDF4J version, or has it since been fixed or become obsolete?
- For PRs: is it ready to merge, waiting for review, blocked on something, or does it still need more work?
- If something is no longer relevant or can simply be closed, cleaning that up would also be very helpful.
The core development team will also start going through older issues and PRs and marking things as stale where their current status is unclear.
For items where we don’t hear anything back, we may eventually close them after another three months if it looks like the reported issue probably no longer occurs, or if a PR appears to have been abandoned. Of course, closing something as stale doesn’t mean the discussion can never be resumed. If an issue is still relevant, or somebody wants to pick up an old PR again, we can always reopen it or continue the work.
The goal here is mostly to make the issue tracker and PR queue a better reflection of what is actually active, so that it’s easier for contributors and maintainers to see where attention is needed.
Thanks to everyone who has opened issues, submitted PRs, reviewed changes, or otherwise contributed.
Best,
Håvard
