I wouldn't mind either jumping to a more active role on maintaining it.
I think it's very important to keep it up to date, since python is one of the most widely used languages.

Let's see if someone from eclipse actually shows up.

There are a bunch of PR's pending for review no one of the eclipse team gives signs of life.
