Well, we are now really busy because we need to release the MOSKItt 1.0.0 version by the end of May. We all think that moving to the next version would be desirable but, since we are really short of time, we don't know if we'll be able to make it. However, if you all decide to upgrade, we'll try to do our best to migrate our both editors.
I don't know how many changes have been made in the new version of GMF (or GEF) but, from our previous experience, this could take some time because all the editors have a huge quantity of modified code.
