Hello everyone,
Since I haven't been active on the Kanto project for more than 2 months and I have no intention of contributing to the project in the foreseeable future, I will retire from my role and responsibilities as a committer on October 21.
To the best of my knowledge, there are currently no candidates that meet the Eclipse requirement that are willing to take on the PM role. There might be candidates for the commiter role, but they don't have no history of contributions to the project. There
is no one working in the direction of creating contribution history in the last 3 months.
After my retirement, the project will be left with a single committer. Could anyone clarify what the fate of the project might be if it is left without a PM and committers? My understanding is that the PMC and EMO should step in to find people interested in
the project. If there is no interest the project will be terminated.
Best regards,
Dimitar Dimitrov

Subject: Re: [kanto-dev] Eclipse Kanto has no project lead
Hi everyone.
Girish must first attain committer status to become eligible for the project lead position. To my knowledge, he is not currently a committer. See this page: https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/iot.kanto/who
A project's current committers can elect new committers after the candidates build a public record of contributions to the project. In other words, we need to see a history of merged pull requests from Girish (or other public contributions) before he can
be elected.
This is the relevant section of the Eclipse project handbook: https://www.eclipse.org/projects/handbook/#elections
I shared this information with Girish and will meet with him soon.

I believe Girish Kumar from BGSW was going to take over responsibility for the Eclipse Kanto topic.

Greeting Eclipse Kanto project committers.
The Eclipse Kanto project's project lead has recently retired from the position leaving the project without a project lead.
The
project lead role is an important one in the EDP, and so I hereby ask you to work out amongst yourselves which of the existing project committers would be an appropriate replacement and initiate a
project lead election at your earliest convenience.
If you have any questions, please connect with your PMC or the EMO.
