Re: [jakartarpc-dev] Status of Jakarta RPC

Thank you, Aleks!

Great to hear.
Regarding how to involve people interested, point them to the project resources, issue tracker, and repository and urge them to participate.
If there is someone that you feel was left out among the initial committers, you can kick off a committer election for them using the Committer Tools on https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/ee4j.rpc

Jakarta EE Working Group members that are not represented among the committers can add a representative by contacting the EMO.

Hi Ivar,

I’ve submitted the initial contribution, and am hoping to get some cycles to start working on the spec draft late March/early April.

We have a release mid-March, so I won’t have any spare cycles to spend on it before then.

In the meantime, I’d like to add folks that expressed interest to work on Jakarta RPC during the proposal phase to the project. How do I do that?

Thanks,
Aleks

Hi,

There hasn't been much activity on this project yet. Can you please provide some statement of progress? Specifically, please proceed with checking in the initial contribution [1] to GitHub repository [2].

Please reach out to the PMC if you have any questions!
