[jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Individual Certification Requests

Hi,
On the PMC call today, we had a discussion about the Platform and Web Profile TCK Certification Requests and whether these CRs would automatically be applied to the individual Specifications that make up the umbrella Specifications.  For example, if Open Liberty applies for a Web Profile TCK Certification Request and it gets accepted, would this also indicate that it has passed the CR requirements for Persistence, Restful Web Services, CDI, etc?

The PMC determined that individual CRs would also have to be submitted.  So, in addition to the Web Profile CR, Open Liberty would also have to submit CRs for Persistence, Restful Web Services, CDI, etc.  Is that consistent with the Spec Committee's expectations?

And, second question that I had after our PMC meeting...  If we all agree that individual CRs are required, which TCK needs to be run for these individual requests?  When Open Liberty runs the whole Platform TCK, we are running individual buckets for all of the other Specifications.  For example, Persistence (JPA) has somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 sub-buckets which are executed as part of the Platform TCK run.  Is this testing sufficient to submit for the individual Specification CRs?  I hope so.  I can understand running separate individual TCKs for the standalone buckets such as CDI or Bean Validation, but other than that, is it okay to submit the results from the overall Platform TCK for the individual CR?

Just trying to be reasonable with the overall work effort required for this exercise.
