Hi Eclipse IoT projects in Incubation,
sitting together at EclipseCon Europe, the IoT PMC discussed the requirement of projects in incubation, to have the proper incubation branding.
All Eclipse projects, which are still in incubation must follow this requirement. But the truth is, the PMC never enforced this in the past. But now we agreed, that we will take the release review approval as a trigger point to check if the branding is present. If the branding is missing, we will not give the necessary +1 for a release review.
However we also understand the some projects are already in the process of preparing a release in the near future. **So we will start with this with the beginning of 2019.**
And just to be clear, incubation projects (even if they have 1.x versions) already do need to have the proper incubation branding. What will be new is the fact that the PMC will check for this.
