I just make a comment on the github issue about first identifying
what are the core value for the community. Based on these core
value, it would be nice to see the name reflect these value.
As a starting point, here are some of the core values I see for the
EE4J community moving forward:
- Openness, vendor neutral, Cloud Native, lightweight, agility,
micro-services.
However, the existing community seems to be focused on enterprise
ready, production, quality, etc.
For example, something like Open Micro-services for Java (OpenMSJ).
In my mind, you want to think about a long name and a short name.
The short name needs to be four syllable or less.

+1.
The list is full of names starting with Java which are already
out. But there are also names that *contain* the Java word, which
use is a bit unclear.
Some hint on that would be useful.

Is there any way we could have a
constructive conversation here to clarify the ins and
outs of this brand-to-be?
While the GitHub Issue is quickly getting swamped
in posts (which is good), it seems as if most people
is just ignoring anything posted before they add their
own nomination to the brand name.
The main problem I'm seeing (and please, correct me
if I'm wrong at any point) is that most of the names
being proposed either violate the Oracle Trademark
Usage Guidelines, completely ignore the Eclipse
Project Naming Policy, or are targeted to the wrong
components (Umbrella Project, Implementations, etc)
instead of the one we're actually trying to brand here
(Specifications Umbrella).
If we could, at least, collect a comprehensive list
of what IS and ISN'T valid here, we might be able to
come up with a batch of good names to propose, without
nominating something good that will later be removed
because it goes against one of the guidelines involved
