Hi Dave,
It's good that he has registered for the conference, but Taye needs to create an eclipse.org account, and then log in to the EclipseCon website once to activate it. After he does that, I can edit the talk and make him the speaker rather than you.
Having a valid eclipse.org account is the normal process for submitters. Please me know if there are any impediments to Taye getting this done soon.
The steps are below, and also listed on the website. A lot of people don't notice the part about logging into the website after the account is created, so please make sure Taye understands that this is a necessary step. Thanks!
How do I submit a talk? You must have an eclipse.org account before you can submit a talk. If you already have an eclipse.org account, log in using those credentials. If you need to create a new account, follow these steps to create and activate your account: - Click on the "Create an account" link at the top of the conference home page. Then click on the "Create an account" tab on the Log In page, and follow the instructions to create your account
- Look for an email with instructions on activating your account, and follow those
- After your account is activated, use the same credentials to log in to the conference website via the "Log in" link in the main menu -- the account can't be used on the conference website until this initial login occurs!
- Note that this account may also be used on the eclipse.org website (for the Forums, for Bugzilla, for the wiki, etc.)
- If you need to reset your password, go to the account creation page and follow the instructions there
- If you are still having trouble, email the webmasters

Thanks, Dave From: eclipsecon-na-program-committee-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:eclipsecon-na-program-committee-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ian Bull Sent: Monday, December 09, 2013 8:12 PM To: Eclipsecon NA program committee discussions Subject: Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] draft schedule Thanks John. I've put David Dodd as the primary speaker on the C/C++ talk to remind him to get the real speaker in the system (I'm not even sure who the speaker is yet). As for the docker talk, I've sent them Yet-Another-Friendly-Reminder to get them registered. For the rooms: - Room 1 is only for keynotes - Rooms 2-7 are all the same size, and big (150 theater, 96 classroom) Rooms 8-10 are still moving targets, but probably - Rooms 8-9 are medium sized (80 theater, 50 classroom) - Room 10 is small (30? theater, 18? classroom -- we are waiting for a room diagram) On Dec 9, 2013, at 10:23 AM, John Arthorne wrote:

Hi John, how did you figure the sizes of the rooms? Cheers /Eike ---- http://www.esc-net.de http://thegordian.blogspot.com http://twitter.com/eikestepperThis talk was surprisingly *very* popular at EclipseCon Europe - every seat was full, many had to stand, and some were turned away. I suggest switching to a bigger room, maybe switch with EMF Compare in the same time slot. I suspect Room 8 is bigger already than what he had in Ludwigsburg, but better to be on the safe side. There are two talks still listing Ian Bull as author which were invited speakers. Just a reminder that we need the real speakers listed on these (Docker, and the Walmart C++ talk).
