Initially I had somewhat of the uncomfy from having two tutorials,
but this is about content, potential coolness and timeliness, rather
than structure.

I think they are both worthy.

Personally, I don't think that wimpiness is at issue here - I believe it would
be good to say that things were so finely balanced that we got Don to put his
hand in his pocket and open his wallet for a sixth entry, thus breaking our
own rules in the face of unrelenting quality :)

No shame in that :). I may be a bit biased, but the Linux Tools guys are doing some really cool things and there is potential for Eclipse to get huge in this space, at least for C/C++ tooling.
 
I'm happy to do a blog about this tomorrow. I'll check the comments on
all entries to see what justifications and enthusiasms have been expressed.
If you have any supporting material that you would like to add for any
particular talk, it would be a help to me to have it to flesh out the blog :)
