Don,

I'm not sure how to read these comments.  You almost seem to suggest that having so many categories produces too many low quality submissions in while Scott appears to be suggesting that having less categories will produce more jam, but not so clear if jam means submissions.   I guess there really is confusion of categorization of submissions verses presentation of the conference content.  I'm also confused now if this discussion is also about the number of sessions verses just how they're categorized. Maybe the confusion is all mine.  It is late for me. :-P

Scott,

Given that we had way more submissions than we had slots to fill, I don't think we have a problem selling our jam. I suspect that a discussion about categories is likely to digress into a long and ultimately fruitless debate, but once a debate is started, it must find it's own conclusion...
