This makes sense.  Linux distributions also provide an Eclipse as part of their rpm.

Sun was demonstrating Eclipse running on OpenSolaris at EclipseCon.  They
include it in the OpenSolaris package manager.

The Sun team provides a package?  That would be way cool, I only ever
found them pushing Netbeans.

Would you have a pointer to the package provided by the Sun team?
