Eclipse Innovation Grants


IBM has announced the Eclipse Innovation Grant competition. Qualified
faculty members and researchers may submit grant proposals that use the
Eclipse open source code base for teaching or research, or to actively
promote the growth of Eclipse user communities.


Up to 20 awards are available, valued up to $30,000 each. The Eclipse
Innovation Grant competition complements IBM 's successful Eclipse
Fellowship Program by encouraging the active use of the Eclipse open source
software for academic curricula and research. The competition winners will
be invited to present their work at an Eclipse Innovation Workshop to be
organized by IBM in October 2003.
