After adding &protocol=http&r=1 to the URL, the install worked and the 4 language pack plugins were installed successfully!

I installed the French and German language pack plugins. Orion client in French was loaded properly. However, Orion client in German was very slow. I saw a few "Error: Load timeout for modules: ..." messages in Firebug.

Since I'm in the U.S., is it because Orion client keeps trying to download modules from Germany and resulted in timeouts? Hopefully a local user in Germany will not have the problem?

Mark, can you try these language pack plugins?

Add &protocol=http&r=1 to the URL.  That will force http-only mirrors and redirect to the closest mirror geographically instead of asking to pick a mirror.

We are preparing for the release of Babel Language Packs R0.11.0. Babel is now producing language pack plugins for Orion. I'm thinking about the mirroring of the Babel Orion Language Packs.

If I specify the following (non-mirror) URLs, Orion installs the language pack plugins fine:

Ken, is there a technically reason why Orion cannot support mirror URLs for plugin installation? Or, is it a bug that can be fixed?

Denis, can you think of any solution to that on the Babel side?
