LGTM, when I read it I was worried it didn't have workflow support, but in the same documentation says it is something to be added later, so it's fine.

Do you mind replying here with any follow up thoughts after you review the above? I’ll split into separate threads if necessary to keep discussion focused on specific areas. If everything looks good, especially from a v1 perspective, briefly indicating that is helpful as well. I know at least some folks are well familiar with the material already. After the discussion of the context winds down, I’ll attempt to start an actual API review thread hopefully followed by a vote to record committer consensus.
