Re: [wtp-pmc] Terminate the Java EE Configuration Editors Project?

Nick's vote is valuable to me. Unfortunately, it is unrecognised by the process.

Can somebody from the PMC weigh in please?

Is it time to retire Eclipse Java EE Module Configuration Editors?

Thanks,

Wayne

+1 to terminate, as this project isn't even mentioned in the current list of WTP repos [1], and was never mentioned when we talked about repo merges [2], or at any time since I've been brought in as a wtp.releng committer in the summer.

I would have to assume it's deader than Dali and JSF put together. Deader by far than DTP and TM, too. :)

Note that I'm not a WTP PMC, nor do I play one on TV, so my +1 may in fact be worthless. :D

I think that it might be time to terminate and archive the Java EE Configuration Editors project (https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/webtools.java-ee-config).

The committers working on the project have since moved on and so, AFAICT, nobody is currently working on the project.

AFAIK, the code base does contain a half-completed web.xml editor, but unless someone else wants to take on this work, we should archive the project.

PMC Members, please discuss options and let me know what you want to do.
