Re: [wtp-pmc] Moving Bugzilla tickets of the JPA Diagram
|
Hi Kaloyan,
Since the user will already have clicked through the component name in bugzilla, I think the shorter 'Diagram Editor' is probably better.
I also agree with aligning the versioning with Dali, as over time it'll cause more confusion if they are not lined up.
Thanks,

Hi,
One of the steps in executing the move of the JPA Diagram Editor to the Dali project is to move the Bugzilla tickets.
I suggest that we create new component in Bugzilla under the Dali JPA Tools product. I am thinking about two possible names:
- JPA Diagram Editor (same as the component name)
- Diagram Editor (keep it shorter avoiding the somewhat redundant and implicit “JPA” in the name)
Another question is about the versioning of the JPA Diagram Editor component in Bugzilla. Do we align it with the Dali versioning? I mean bugs for the next version of the Diagram Editor are targeted to the 3.0 versions? Or do we keep independent versioning? Having in mind that the Diagram Editor won’t have independent release cycle, I think the first option is the more logical one.
Any opinions on the above two questions?
