Jess and PMC Members,
As I explained a few months ago, my
new job responsibilities at IBM are preventing me from attending PMC calls
or actively participating in PMC business. I therefore asked Tim deBoer
to act as my delegate and he did such great job that you made him a PMC
member. We also needed to upgrade the Web site to Phoenix so Bob Fraser
stepped in. I stayed on to show him the ropes and he did such a great job
that you made him a committer. Earlier we lost a great leader in Tim Wagner
so I decided to stay on until after EclipseCon and the new leadership was
in place. A respectable period of time has elapsed since then. The new
PMC has formed and is functioning admirably. I have now run out of reasons
to remain on the PMC.
I therefore offer my resignation from
the PMC, effective April 3. I would appreciate it if I could have 5 minutes
on the agenda next week to say goodbye.
