2.5) WTP Adopter tool
and Non-API Code Deprecation [1] - Jeffrey Liu
Jeffrey - The tool is in CVS. Follow the Web page link. Adopters should open Bugzilla RFEs and cc me. I'll check these reports into CVS. WTP developers should check these out and run checking tool before committing changes.
Tim - We the checks be done as part of build?
Arthur - They should be done.
David - I am concerned about doing this as part of the build. The build should be simple and focus on producing the executable code.
Arthur - The goal is to enable developers to understand potential adopter breakage before committing changes. We also need a safeguard when doing remote builds, just like running JUnits. We should be surprised by breakage.
David - Agreed. The local checking should be a separate tool or optional build target though.
Jeffrey - We currently already have 3 usage scans submitted to Bugzilla [1], [2], [3]
Arthur - Ted, can you look at doing this for BEA adopters?
Ted - OK
Jeffrey - I volunteer to demo the tools next week.

3. WTP 1.5 Status
3.1) WTP 1.5 Build Status - David Williams
David - We have a build. Awaiting smoke tests from WS and J2EE.
David - We have a request to move to an interim Eclipse 3.2 M5 for common navigator.
Arthur - What about adopters?
David - I discussed this within IBM. Are there any concerns from other adopters?
Arthur - No objections heard from any WTP component leads or other adopters.
David - OK. We'll plan to move up on Friday or Monday if the current I-build is OK.
