RE: [wtp-dev] I-build declared: - source of RC1 patch - https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/attachment.cgi?id=21966

What ... ? You mean you can't just glance at previous wtp-dev notes that came out!?
It had the obvious title of Bug 97148 Bad site URLs in platform.xml  :)

Tim deBoer previously provided this nice reference on wtp-dev (which originally came
from Konrad Kolosowski on platform-releng-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx mailing list ... now if you foward
this note to 7 friends,  you too will have 7 weeks of good luck :)

A problem in has been discovered in 3.1 RC1, preventing launching of second instance of Eclipse if it
includes org.eclipse.update.configurator plug-in.  The problem appears in some combinations of
eclipse, workspace, target platform locations and how they are relate to each other.  See
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=97148

Everyone participating in RC1 test pass, or experiencing launching problems, please download a
replacement for org.eclipse.update.configurator plug-in from
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/attachment.cgi?id=21966 that works around the problem.  Please place the
jar under eclipse/plugins directory to overwrite RC1 version of
org.eclipse.update.configurator_3.1.0.jar.  Please report any regressions in bugzilla under
Install/Update component.

RE: [wtp-dev] I-build declared:    I20050603  Fri,        3 Jun 2005 -- 16:29 (-0400)

My understanding is that this I-build requires an RC1 patch.
Where do we go to get this patch?  (Apologies if I'm missing something obvious on the download site or in a past email.)

Thanks, Ted

The subject I-build is here-by declared this weeks official I-build.

Some brief sanity checking as indicated its quite usable for
                further development.

The failing J2EE JUnit test is the same one that failed last week
(shame on you!  :)  and is not thought to be criticial, even though it is
a real bug (please fix by next week's I-build!)

The numerous WSDL and WSI JUnit failures have been determined to
(probably) be both related to manifest.mf change-over and something "deep".
                Possibly related to https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=98127.
Technically, we could "roll back" to use the old fashioned plugin.xml approach, but
the teams involved decided to "push ahead" and will get to the bottom of this
by next week's I-build. In the mean time, WS-I validation will not work in this
                week's I-build.

Thanks all for the many advances made this week.

                David
