[uml2-dev] UML2 committer tidy up
|
Hi Kenn and Christian
(This message BCCed to Gmail accounts that I have used in the
past for Kenn Hussey and Christan Damus.)
As recommended by the EMO below, I shall terminate your Eclipse
UML2 committership in two weeks (24 April 2026) unless I receive a
response indicating how you wish to continue your participation.
You have both made significant contributions and I would be sad to
see you go completely; we need your insights. I hope that the
failure to respond to the election was just a spam folder
accident.
Regards
Edward Willink

Normally, declaring a project dysfunctional gives us a
single opportunity to correct things. But...we clearly missed
some things, so I'll take the PMC's request as approval to
adjust the project further.
Mental note for next time: let's deal with the project
leads while we're at it.
I've appointed Ed Willink as a project lead. Thanks for
stepping up, Ed.
The project will remain dysfunctional as long as only two
of four committers vote in elections. I recommend you consider
using your awesome new powers to retire the unresponsive
project lead and committers (AFAICT, we haven't heard from
Kenn in two years, and it's been at least five years since we
last heard from Christian). Standard practice is to announce
your plans on the project dev-list; there's more discussion
here.
Thanks for continuing to push on this.
Wayne
Please
help this process move forward in whatever way is deemed to be
most appropriate. Deeming the election to be successful would
seem
non-controversial...
