That may have been me. I was at EclipseCon and I take every opportunity to gather forces in the revolution against modal dialogs and I've been meaning to make that change for some time. I haven't actually done anything about it yet. :-)

Given the asynchronous nature of most Eclipse tasks, I would have thought this would be desirable, if not for every dialog, at least as the preferred dialog presentation.
