Re: [udig-users] UTF8 and uDig - eastern European character set

Hi

This problem is quite difficult to fix I am afraid. I spent a couple hours on it last weekend and couldn't get the fix. I will continue to try and fix it but I am afraid that I cannot promise I can get it done in the next week or two.

Oh I just noticed that you are talking about WFS now. That is a different story. The fixes I was working on was mostly with the shapefile jars and that is what I was looking at.. But this email makes me think that perhaps the problem is with the table view and not the shapefile jars.

I will post a message to this list when I get a fix ready. But given my schedule I will have a bit of a hard time in the next little while. But I will do what I can.

Hi,
I have a similar problem with EE character set. When I load data from
Geoserver WFS configured to UTF8, attributes in table view are shown
correctly with characters like čćžđš, but when I edit the attributes and commit changes, wrong characters appear instead of čćžđš, both in udig table view and in the database. Can you please sand me those jars or tell me where
to download it if it would solve my problem?

Best regards,
Dubravka

But I will send you the jars now so you can try it. If it
works then you can let me know other wise send me a small shapefile
and I will use it as test data.
