Unfortunately I am not allowed to share this data; and I have not yet been able to reproduce it with data I can share. I will try a bit harder on that today.

I think this is either a geotools or Java issue as I tried this using just the geotools and saw the same effects (see attached). The artifacts move as you zoom in/out and disappear entirely if you zoom in far enough. If you extract out one geometry and render just that geometry it is not a problem.

This is quite strange, can you supply a better zoom for this?
The left one doesn't look like having much antialiasing from the image.

Or can you share the dataset, I would give it a try.
