Dear All,
this is especially for who speaks and write Italian, but open to everybody comment. I started yesterday with my class of Hydrology where I boldly decided to use uDig 1.3.1 and the last jgrasstools. So far the experience went fine and smoothly. In this context, I put the documentation of the course on-line at:
The draft material about uDig and the JGrasstools is at point 4. At point 6 you will find examples of the use of the Horton Machine, part of the jgrasstools.
This included a translation of the last Walktrough 1 and 2 in Italian, and add other two Walktroughs about the Spatial toolbox, mainly using information present on the wiki, and testing by some my own former students. We hope to have put appropriately the credits, but if there is something we forgot, please let us know.
The Walktrough were written using a custom LaTeX style which mimics the original stile, since Open Office documents were continuously loosing the format moving them from Mac to Windows to Linux, and we are happy to share it.
Now, the request: who knows Italian and can help to review this material is really welcome. After this phase we will translate them into English, hoping, for the joy of the community. Keep in mind that these are public but DRAFTs.
In any case, let'us know any comment. All the best,
riccardo rigon
