[udig-devel] gtk.linux.x86_64 builds

I read the note on the download page about the missing 64 bit Linux 
builds for 1.2-RC1 and RC2.

Since gtk.linux.x86_64 is currently my main working platform, I'm 
wondering what exactly the problem might be, and maybe I can offer some 
help.

At any rate, I recently upgraded my osgified subset of Geotools and uDig 
to 2.6.2/1.2-RC1, and I did not see any major issues. On the other hand, 
the only part of imageio-ext included in my subset is TIFF, so I don't 
know if that is the easy part.

Anyway, even a Linux64 build with some image formats not working 
properly is surely better than no Linux64 build at all!?
