That warning is pretty normal.

There are 2 things I can think of:

1.  Make sure that the JRE that you are using to run uDig with is the  
correct one.  Sometimes is you start with one JRE for eclipse then  
switch to another the internal JREs dont change so you might still be  
using the original JRE to run uDig
2.  try the -vm parameter for eclipse.

I suspect the 1st solution is the more likely to help.
