A few suggestions I've come up with after using Jump for a few days:
1. Eclipse, the Java IDE which I use has a useful feature whereby a
modified file is prefixed with a '>'. I've got several layers in my
project and I'm starting to forget to save changed layers. I've got a
patch for this (it's only about 4 lines of code).
2. In "Save Dataset...", ideally the file name in the file dialog box
should default to the same file (and file type) that the currently
selected layer was retrieved from (assuming it came in from a file).
3. Hot keys to end lines/polygons: I just can't seem to be able to
reliably reproduce a double-click, which means I have to select the
line/polygon, and remove the unwanted points from my mucked up attempts
at double clicking. Perhaps the "Return" key should do the same as
double click. Also perhaps ESC to abort the line/polygon? Also + and -
to zoom/in and zoom out?
I can produce patches for the above if people think it's a good idea.
Regards,
Joe.
