Product/Component: Community / Git
--- Comment #1 from Eclipse Webmaster <webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx> ---
In the past we have found that the Github mirroring process was pretty hit or
miss, so we have actually stopped adding any new mirrors and we discourage
their use.
We are happy to help you move to Github if you feel that is the best way to
engage with your community.
-M.
So... I guess I'll have to manually set a cron job somewhere
then.

Thanks Jonah for pointing this out. I'll open a bug for it.
I'm the one manually doing the mirroring when I think about it,
since the original maintainer of the mirror left the project. I
had planned to do a cron for it, but it went down my priority
list. It's better if it does not depend on a single individual.

There are GitHub mirrors [1] of Trace Compass and the
Trace Compass Incubator. Not sure how they're managed
(or by whom), but from what I've seen, they're updated
every once in a while. And the Incubator mirror hasn't
been updated in 2 years.
This is a simple proposal to set up something that
can periodically push from the official repositories and
push to the GitHub mirrors. GitLab can do that [2]. I
set one up [3] for my fork on GitHub [4] and it was
quick and easy.
Some people might find out about Trace Compass by
finding its mirror on GitHub, and keeping it up to date
can only be positive!
