Hi,

 

With the 2.11.0 LTTng release, I discovered a bug with adding contexts.

 

Specs:

lttng-* 2.11.0

Trace Compass 5.1.0 (Ubuntu)

 

When I try to add contexts to my channel I get the following options:

• All Contexts
• <?xml version=”1.0” encoding=”UTF-8”?>
• <command xmlns=”…> // Entire XML file

 

2.11.0 adds mi support for listing contexts (https://github.com/lttng/lttng-tools/commit/59deec0c09b544d548711deaa6d8206efe99ea0d). The LTTng devs state this may be an issue with 'tracecompass expecting regular text output despite it passing the “—mi xml”’.

 

lttng-tools 2.9.11 and 2.10.9 do not have this issue.
