Hey gang,
We had started a vote to transition the project lead for Hibachi (Ada)
several months ago from Tom Grossman, who is no longer able to hold the
position, to David Phillips. I talked to him at EclipseCon and it sounds
like he has a good plan to get the project going again.
Since I'm too lazy to go back and find out how the vote went and since
we have new members now, I'd like to restart it. I propose making David
Phillips the project lead for Hibachi. Please vote. Let's give the
traditional 7 days for the vote.
Thanks,
Doug.

Anne,
No response from the PMC. I was able to talk to Doug Schaefer during
EclipseCON. I have also been in touch with Adam and Lisa, the
committers. Adam is loading the newly found defects into BugZilla and
Lisa has some work on integrating the DDC-I compilers into the tool
chain, we just need to jumpstart the project and get going again...
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

David, did the Tools PMC ever get back to you with their approval for
this change, or the suggestion to run the vote again, or ??? Just
following up -- thanks.

Hello Tools PMC,
We have a pending request to change the project lead from Tom
Grosman to me (David Phillips) for the Hibachi project. (For those
who do not recall, Hibachi is an IDE for the Ada programming
language.) Unfortunately, it looks like the process has fallen
through the cracks. The vote went out and I have found a few
responses buried in my in-box, but apparently the process was never
run to completion.
We have a current contributor that would like to submit some changes
to the project and we would like to kick start the project again.
What is the process for getting the database updated so we can move
forward with the project? I will be available this week at
EclipseCon if anyone wants to chat about the future of Hibachi. I
can be reach via cell phone at 256-990-9550.
Thanks in advance,
David Phillips

Thanks, Tom. I had an action to find out what was happening with
this. :)
I understand your situation and I'm sorry to see you unable to
continue on as lead. I certain welcome David and I look forward to
him carrying on with the work you have started.
I believe we need a vote of the PMC to confirm the new lead.
+1 from me.
Cheers,
Doug

Tom, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Please email the Tools PMC (tools-pmc@xxxxxxxxxxx) and ask a
PMC member to OK the change. Then I'll update the database.
Thanks.
