Hi TM committers,

Apache Commons Compress is available in Eclipse Orbit:

It provides an API for tar, zip, gzip but also bzip2, pack200, ar, cpio.

Would somebody want to get rid of the RSE home-grown zip and tar implementations,

And replace it with using commons compress ?

Commons compress is currently used by Ecipse JGit, and the

Latest 1.4.1 version is currently under IP Review:
