I would like to see EPP just move ahead with the committer elections.

I'm pretty sure that the rest of the PMC agrees, but how about a couple of +1s, folks?

Reading all the PMC mails I can see that all of you agree that the policy at http://wiki.eclipse.org/EPP/EPP_Committer_and_Maintainer_Policy makes sense and is required by the EPP project to keep the packages alive. How can we move this forward and how can I help? Any suggestions by the PMC or should we just go on with our elections?

Personally, I would separate what you call releng into two different things.
Orbit and EPP are really Eclipse community process artifacts. Hudson, m2e,
JGit and the like are starting to form an interesting server-side ALM stack,
with tools. Mylyn is our current ALM TLP, but its charter specifically
excludes server-side as I recall.
