As a professional Eclipse developer and project lead for a Technology
project one of things that keeps me motivated (let's say all charged
up) is reading through the CQs to admire all of the hard work my
colleagues are engaged in. On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being
nirvana) I rate reading CQs at 12.5

IMHO it's totally unnecessary. It's a trivial task these days to
setup
filters in an regular email client. We should instead use tags in
the
subject to identify mails related to a project. For example, we can
prefix project specific messages with "[<projectshortname>]".
