[sumo-user] Left turn from the shoulder.

I need to simulate the geometry of the intersection shown below. To make a left turn, vehicles wait on the shoulder.

Is there a feature in SUMO to model this type of situation, or is it better to construct an additional parallel edge, effectively splitting the intersection into two?
