One ferry can have around 300 vehicles which will be a mix of cars and heavy vehicles.
Initially we will limit the simulation to 2-3 arrivals and 2-3 departures per day.
The maritime extent of the simulation will be limited to 2 Kilometers or about 1 Nautical mile.
We will need to simulate the berthing unberthing procedure and the ramp movement.

Do you have volumetrics that you might share?

Eg ferry capacities,  # ship movements/day, sea distances

Also do you expect to model harbour movements/interactions of ferries - docking, reversing etc

We are responding to a request for proposal for a project that requires simulation of vehicle traffic through a roro ferry terminal. This involves a mix of marine side simulation with landside simulation. Both land side and marine side simulations will be part of the single model affecting each other.

We are looking for organizations and individuals interested and experienced in doing custom development work to extend SUMO's existing capabilities.

Please note that we have a deadline (October 17th) for submitting our response for proposal.
We do not expect to finalize all the technical details before October 17th  but we do need to start conversations with interested parties to gather information on topics such as features, feasibility, rough design, timeline etc.
