[stp-dev] FYI: Interactions with the SCA project

Hi all,
Here are the results of the SCA group wrt to getting feedback
to them as we encounter any rubber-meets-road issues during
implementation:

The process for feedback from the Eclipse STP project team relating to the SCA
specifications is as follows:

- Feedback is channeled via committers of the STP project who are also
working in the SCA collaboration. The following people are designated
at present - this list may expand over time:

Dan Berg
Oisin Hurley

- When items relating to the specs are brought up in the STP project, the items are raised by the folk listed above on whichever of the working groups
are relevant to the item

- It is the responsibility of the folks raising the issue to check its provenance. Basically the requirement here is that any input to the specs should fall under the terms of the Feedback license that applies to the SCA specs. If specific
ideas have come from people who do not work for one of the companies in
the SCA collaboration, then it is necessary to get them to sign the feedback license if their contributions are going to be used in updating the specs. Not
doing this threatens the Royalty Free status of the SCA specifications.

- Comments and discussion relating to the items raised in this way can be
fed back to the STP team using the STP mailing lists, either by one
of the folk listed above or by other members of the collaboration. Care must
be taken to ensure that any new ideas which might emerge are handled
correctly with regard to the Feedback license.
