STEM Community Call March 21, 2013
On Call: Jamie, Matt, Kun, Kendall, Chris, Judy; Stefan is in a class all week

1. V 2.0 Milestone 1 to be available Tuesday, April 2
DONE: Update date on Webpage
Jamie: Fixing error on webpage
Discussion related to Item 3 below
Consensus: Eclipse 3.8 will be standard for Milestone 1
Jamie: Will note on wiki
Matt: Will make changes to create new target platform; must check in new code, update doc; will announce when complete
ALL: Watch for announcements in newsgroup, stem-dev
Milestone 1:  On Track: UI, model development workflow, builder tools, xtext, all in STEM
Add model generator Feature to STEM-core (with required plugins)
Customize Project Explorer (show/hide generated Java code)
Milestone 2=>1: Complete: Hot injection of generated plugins will be part of Milestone 1
Milestone 3=>2: GUI this summer (IBM & BfR)
Future V 2.0 Release Features to include:
        Xtext model generator feature
Graphical Model Design (GUI for code generation)
    Bug Fixes from 1.4.1
    Performance improvements
    Advanced Dengue Example
Stochastic Modeling - need to watch apach.math.commons library

2. Possible use of code bundles in STEM 2.0 (possibly 2 different downloads?)
Matt: Explored including source code in STEM 2.0; determined including all sources is not worth the “costs” of increased size; other new changes will already increase size; hence will not include source code

3. Move to Eclipse 3.8 (See Item 1 above); needed for target platform
No one on call still on 3.7; Chris & Alex now using 4.2
All Agreed: Move to 3.8

4. Transition to GIT
Defer until Milestone 1 is up (April 2) and Stefan is on call
5. New Documentation for 2.0
* New STEM Update Mechanism
* Developers Environment guide updated (thank you Matt)
* New Doc on Food Distribution View [[take out of release]]
* Food Distribution view doc
* New doc page describing different solvers available in STEM
TO DO: Update pub on list on wiki, web page (also presentations); IBM will do release on STEM work w/ vector diseases in April
6. Bug(s) Status of work on new logger per Matthias’s request
Jamie: Only HTML logger removed; CSV Header Logger with Run Parameters is already done; will restore HTML version by Release 2.0 if not in Milestone 1

7. Eclipse Stammtisch Switzerland in Zurich on May 15th (suggestion from Werner)
Jamie: No one from IBM Zurich able to attend

8. Items from Participants
