How close is the client plugin and how close to desired functionality is it?
Unless you are almost there, I think you should consider developing to the
R3 target. I have been using it for a while and have experienced no
problems.

I have absolutely no experience with IRC and have no idea how to set this up
under Windows so I will stick to the list for the time being.
