I just tried again with Sun's 1.4.2 JDK:
java version "1.4.2-beta"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2-beta-b10)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-beta-b10, mixed mode)
This hangs on test 01.
