I just downloaded a Sun JDK from our internal Java site:
java version "1.4.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-b01, mixed mode)
I then fired up current build.
Things went fine until it got to test 2, and then the machine hung!
I suggest you try IBM's JDK.
You have taken me on a trip down memory lane. Let's see if I ever had
problems with Sun software -- well there was a project call Jikes.
