Database Opensource Test Suite (DOTS) 1.1.0 Released

The Linux Test Project is pleased to announce the latest release of the
Database Opensource Test Suite (DOTS), 1.1.0.

 New features in v1.1.0:

The new version of DOTS has added functionality to allow the use of MySQL
and PostgreSQL databases, complementing the existing features that allow
the use of DB2, Oracle, and Sybase databases. Additionally, The Database
Opensource Test Suite, DOTS, is now available as an on-demand test suite at
the Open Source Development Lab's Linux Kernel Scalable Test Platform
(OSDL-STP). The STP provides developers with the ability to request a
number of predefined tests against a specific Linux kernel or patch; DOTS
has been added as one of those predefined test cases.

 About DOTS:

Database Opensource Test Suite, DOTS, is a set of test cases designed for
the purpose of stress testing database server systems in order to assess
database server performance and reliability. DOTS is made up of two test
case categories: Basic and Advanced test cases. The primary goals of the
Basic Cases are stress testing and ensuring 100% JDBC API coverage. The
goals of the Advanced Cases are modeling a real-world business application
and stress testing database servers. There are ten test cases in total, all
written in Java for platform independence.

DOTS can be downloaded from the LTP website at http://ltp.sourceforge.net
