[stellation-res] Minor CVS checkin

I made a minor CVS checkin. There are no significant changes; just
a bunch of minor cleanups in preparation for the major TextArtifact changes.
I'll be doing minor checkins fairly frequently until the TextArtifact work
is done. I am *not* running the tests on these changes, so don't
expect stability. The main reason that I'm checking them in is that
I actually finished a draft of them, but a confluence of unfortunate
events (primarily my own stupidity) resulted in my losing the changes,
and I'm determined to not repeat the error.
(We've got an Eclipse internals class going on, and I had some
extra plugins installed for that, which seemed to make eclipse
extra fragile. While trying to go from the PDE view to JUnit, I
crashed Eclipse, and the crashed corrupted the metadata dir. In
the process of rebuilding my workspace, I used the wrong import operation,
which basically compiled my code, saved the .class files, and deleted
the source.)
