Re: [stellation-res] A working URL for Update Manager

Hi Ringo,

I just checked your new URL and it seems fine (I got as far as the click-through page without any problems). I'll update the 'Setting up Stellation' doc accordingly.

On a related subject: I've been looking into the Eclipse 2.0 downloadable feature support. It would be nice to package Stellation CM (three plugins) as a single feature, and also
to have the four 3rd party jars as a separate, single feature.

I've managed to build and test-deploy a feature containing the four 3rd party jars (each packaged as a separate Eclipse plug-in, of course). However, the license text is getting seriously mangled...... This seems like a newbie question, but did you do anything special in preparing the click-through license text for your Update Manager stuff? The Eclipse docs (such as they are) state the license text should be "simple text", but various characters (single and double quotes, ampersands, less-than brackets) are causing extra line breaks (and other line breaks are appearing spontaneously, for no apparent reason...).

What do you think about putting the '3rd Party Plugins for Stellation Feature' up on your website,
once we get the gremlins ironed out?

Regards,
Jim

Hello,

I don't know what happens when hosting the prepackaged plugins at my
ISP homepage, but I have moved the plugins again. They are now hosted
on SourceForge, on the website of one of my own projects there.

The URL is:

http://stecl.sourceforge.net/eclipse/updates/

This one works for me. Report any problems you might have.

Ringo
