Looking at the raw HTTP request logs, the relatively minor spikes do not look like test data. Most likely it was announcements of some kind. However, anything is possible. As such, even the high mark is not that high to be honest. That said, 2K+ usage in a few months is not bad at all.

Subject: Re: [starter-dev] Usage Data
Hi!
I find this highly interesting data. Especially if we could
discover some trends in there. I also noticed, there are single
days which unusual high activity. Can these be linked to some news
or other noteworthy events? Or are these days with higher activity
result of some kind of script or tests? Do these skew the analysis
results in any direction?
Perhaps I'll find the time to come up with some answers to my
question myself but if someone else has already done the work I
would be interested to learn about it.

Great! Ivar/Tanja/Shabnam, does it make sense to share these
preliminary insights with the marketing or steering committees?
Looks like we have the defaults right. Let's see what happens
for a few more months. It may make sense to choose a random
runtime instead of "none" by default.
