Hi all,
As the new version of sensiNact continues to stabilise I feel that it’s nearing time for an alpha release so that people can begin to work with the new features from a relatively stable base. As far as I’m aware there are three main things that will need to happen before this could go ahead:
- Final class/package renaming. A number of types/packages had “prototype” in the name, which is no longer appropriate. Most of these were addressed before merging into the master branch, however some changes still need to be made (most obviously PrototypePush)
- Addition of a mandatory attribute on exported packages so that any user imports are tied to the alpha version and its potentially unstable API
- Documentation site generation. We have some markdown documentation, which will continue to evolve, but this needs to be made easier to browse online
- Possibly a GitHub pages site?
- Version selection so that we can read docs from different releases
If there are any other important issues that have to be solved before an alpha (i.e. not guaranteed to be bug free) could go ahead then please let me know. We can gather them up into some GitHub issues and try to get the alpha ready for release in the next 4-6 weeks.
All the best,
Tim |
