Dear SDV community,
Registration is now open for the Eclipse SDV Hackathon Chapter 4, taking place from 6–8 October 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, hosted by ZF.
Join developers, students, researchers, and open source contributors for three days of collaboration, coding, and innovation around software-defined vehicles and the Eclipse SDV ecosystem.
Whether you’re already active in SDV projects or just curious to get started, the hackathon is a great opportunity to connect with the community, gain hands-on experience, and help shape the future of automotive open source software.
This year, alongside the challenges based on Application & Innovation, we are introducing the Freestyle Track.
Here is some more information on the set up:
Track 1: Hackathon (Application & Innovation)
Teams will build on pre-integrated projects, focusing heavily on application development, user experience, and the final business case/pitch.
Track 2: Freestyle Track (Integration & Feature development)
Teams will develop brand-new features, interfaces, or components directly within Eclipse SDV projects.
