Re: [science-iwg] Rebooting the Science Working Group

Hi all,

It’s good to see some discussion about how to get the working group going again. While we’ve scaled back our Eclipse work generally, we’re still using ICE and planning to contribute to it in the future, so I would like to maintain some level of ORNL involvement in the working group and in the Foundation in general. I think opening it up to a broader membership would be a good thing, but I would also like to think about what the purpose of the group might be as we go forward, as well as how to make it more sustainable.

I’m not sure what our (ORNL’s) situation w.r.t. to the group actually is. I know we’re still a member of the Eclipse Foundation, but I’m not sure if we have official membership on the group or not. Can some one clarify?

Thanks,
Greg
